The modern Urker fishing fleet sells its quality fish every week at Europe’s biggest fish auction in Urk. Our buyers purchase fish daily from this and other Dutch fish auctions, much of which is packed immediately.

Our selective purchase of fresh fish, farmed fish and shellfish from Norway, Belgium, Denmark, England, Scotland and France make us a specialist in the supply of good fish for an honest price. After being transported in refrigerated units, the fish is sorted at our company in Urk, then processed and packed according to the customer’s wishes. And when catches are disappointing, causing fresh-fish prices to rise, we can supply our customers without delay from our fresh-frozen deepfreeze stock.

We supply supermarkets, wholesalers, catering suppliers and industrial companies, and cash-and-carry supermarkets throughout Europe. If required, these businesses would recommend Visscher Seafood as a fast, trustworthy and flexible supplier that meets the customer’s specific wishes, regardless of whether these wishes concern delivery times, extra service or special product requirements. When a customer discovers, for example, that they are short of fish, we are ready to help by delivering at short notice. This has led to a long-standing relationship with most of our customers.
